National Folklore Party

You will get acquainted with Lithuanian traditional way of life. Dinner or lunch will be held in one of historical places. Folk ensemble will perform Lithuanian national dances, accompanied by folk music, involving participants in the show.

 

 

 

Medieval Feast in Trakai castle

In the decorated medieval castle you will be welcomed by servants that blow the horns and wash your hands from dust. Old music will be playing during the feast and you will be invited to taste medieval food and drinks. The mood of the guests is taken care by musicians, who entertain guests, invite them to dance.

 

“Narrow railway” tour

The beginning of narrow-gauge railway (the gouge is 750 mm) in Anyksciai (110km from Vilnius) is the 1899 when first cargo – carrying trains started going along Anyksciai – Panevezys section. People love and call it “sweet narrow”. On 11^th of May 1996 it was inscluded into the register of immovable cultural values of Lithuania as the longest narrow gauge railway in Europe. Nowadays the train serves only for tourists needs. During this tour you will have a chance to learn what the difference between the narrow railway and the broad one is, to get acquainted with the exhibition of the railway history, to see an operating model of a steam-engine and cycle on the rails.

Then you will have 2 hours tour by the train from Anyksciai Narrow railway station to Rubikiai lake. The train traveling at a speed of 40 km/h will take you to many archaeological monuments, mounds and other historical places nearby the narrow gauge.Lake Rubikiai famous for having 16 islands has been declared a landscape rezerve. Authentic rail bridges, railway station buildings, water towers, new fitted dinning car, observation cars will wonder passengers.
